Route 01 · identity sheet · 07:40, the record opens

A day is worth what it can prove.

Route 01 makes the record the product's face. What the buyer sees is a document that can be checked — who, when, where, and how it was captured — and the identity is built to look like one: sharp cuts, tabular figures, one cold accent, and a state language that only ever states a verdict it can support. Aimed at the owner who has been shown a screenshot too many, and at the accountant who has to close the month.

The letter cut on a filing grid · 48-unit grid · 7-unit top cuts · 1.6-unit filing rule at 30% ink

01 · The mark

One letter, argued as a measurement.

Vanisree is settled, so the mark does not name the product. It argues about it. This V is built the way a filed document is built.

Construction · guides shown at the top cut (y 12), the inner notch (y 31), the foot (y 42), the arm edges (x 8 / 24 / 40) and the one-unit grid line.

Grid
48 units square, drawn from six-unit modules. Every coordinate below is a grid intersection, so the mark redraws identically at any size.
Terminators
The two arms end in horizontal cuts seven units wide, not at an angle. That is the difference between a letter that was filed and one that was sketched.
Foot and notch
The outer edges meet in a point at 24, 42. The inner edges meet in a notch at 24, 31. The notch is what makes the shape a record rather than a tick — it holds the two halves apart at the top and locks them at the bottom.
Filing rule
32 × 1.6 units at 30% ink, the exact width of the outer foot, sitting on the baseline of the plate. It is the line a record is filed on.
Clear space
Six units on every side — one grid module. Nothing enters it: no text, no rule, no edge of a plate.
Minimum size
24 px with the filing rule. 16 px without it. Never below 16 px, and never as a raster export.
Files
Vector only. The mark shipping in the product today is a 247,056-byte image export carrying embedded C2PA provenance — it cannot be recoloured above 16 px, and it is the exact opposite of this rule.

Lockup A · the house lockup

VANISREE Field execution · proven

Wordmark +0.14 em tracking, outlines only, fixed cap height. The descriptor line sits at 10.5 px mono and is optional below 120 px wide.

Lockup B · stacked, for splash and print

VANISREE

Used where the format is square: app splash, report cover, attendance PDF header.

Lockup C · the neutral descriptor lockup

FIELD EXECUTION System · with proof on every record

A house name cannot be worn by a competitor, so a licensed team gets this lockup: the same mark, the descriptor, no Vanisree.

THE ONE RULE THE MARK OBEYS

The mark never carries the accent.

In route 01, colour means state, and state is data. A mark that changed colour between screens would be making a claim it cannot support — the same failure the product is designed to avoid.

02 · Type

Three roles, and nothing in between.

Display
A text serif, so a heading reads as a filed line rather than a headline. Ships now as Iowan Old Style, Charter, Georgia. Rollout: licence one self-hosted serif and delete the fallback chain.
Body
The platform UI sans. It is the reader's face, not the brand's, and it should look identical to the rest of the phone.
Data
Mono, tabular, every time. Times, coordinates, distances, odometer readings, amounts, phone numbers.

TYPE RULES

  • Headings are serif; nothing else is. A serif in a table cell slows a column down.
  • Figures never sit in the body face. A number the buyer might check is mono, always.
  • The wordmark ships as outlines. Charter exists on one platform and not on another; live text would silently change the brand on Android.
  • Line length caps at 62 characters. Documents are read, not skimmed.

03 · Colour

Ink, paper, one accent, and three verdicts.

Every ratio below was measured from these exact values, not estimated. Text needs 4.5:1; large text and icons need 3:1.

THREE RULES THIS TABLE FORCES

  • Hover darkens. The primary action goes from 6.17:1 to 7.95:1 on hover — contrast rises with the state change, never falls.
  • Amber is never text. At 2.61:1 it fails. Amber is a fill with ink on top, or a dot beside a word that carries the meaning.
  • The accent appears twice per screen at most. The eyebrow and the primary action. Everything else is ink, paper and hairline — which is why the record screen below shows no accent inside the record itself.

04 · State

Three verdicts, and a word that has to be earned.

Colour in route 01 is not decoration; it is the product's honesty made visible. There are exactly three states, they are never used for anything else, and each one is spelled out in words beside its colour so the meaning survives a print-out, a screenshot and a colour-blind reader.

THE HONESTY RULE

The word verified is only allowed where a check actually ran.

The product's claim is that a visit is verifiable: a location fix at punch-in and punch-out, an odometer reading with its photograph, an outcome at the end of the visit. If a check did not run, the app says not recorded — never a softer synonym. This is the single rule that makes the other two states believable, and it is also the fastest thing a competitor selling dashboards cannot copy.

Verified

verified

Every required check ran and returned within tolerance. Green is the only state colour that survives as text at 4.61:1.

Flagged for a person

flagged

A check ran and returned something a human has to read: a fix 400 metres from the beat, an odometer that moved less than the route did, a visit with no outcome. Amber is always a fill — at 2.61:1 it can never be a text colour.

Missing

missing

A required check never ran, or the record never closed — for example a day with a punch-in and no punch-out. Red is a fact about the record, never a judgement about the person.

All three states appear as a coloured marker plus a word. A buyer who prints this in black and white loses nothing.

05 · The identity in the product

Two surfaces, drawn in the route's own system.

Both use sample data. The layout and the rules are the deliverable; no figure here is a measurement or a product claim.

Every figure on this screen opens the record it came from: who, when, where, and how it was captured. Open the record
Screen A — attendance, with the proof panel open. The accent appears once, on the active navigation item. Inside the record itself there is no accent at all: colour here means state, and the state colours are exactly the three verdicts from section 04. The nav items are the product's real modules, not invented ones. Sample data.

Generated from the same rows the app captured. Print in one ink, or in colour — the verdicts are spelled out either way.
Screen B — the artefact the buyer forwards to their own boss. The report generators already exist in the product; today they carry no brand at all. This is the cheapest place in the whole system to look like a serious vendor, because the buyer's own signature ends up on the page. Sample data.

06 · Voice

The app says what happened, and says where it knows it.

Where the buyer meets itShipping todayRoute 01 writes
Install prompt and store listingThe manifest description currently reads “A new Flutter project.” That string is what a device, an installer and a listing read back.“Field execution with proof on every record: location, odometer photograph, outcome.”
The line the salesperson repeatsThe repository's own tagline is “Track your team, close more deals” — it sells the category, not the difference.“Every visit, with its proof.”
An empty exceptions queueToday this state is silent.“Nothing needs a person. 6 visits, all verified, as of 19:26.”
A visit with no outcomeToday the row simply shows nothing.“No outcome recorded at 14:40. The location and the time were captured.”
The documents a buyer reads“Sales Tracker” still appears in the paperwork while the app says Vanisree.“Vanisree” everywhere, and the descriptor “field execution, proven” in its place.

RULE 01

State the fact and its source in the same breath: punch-in 07:41 · location ±4 m. Never “on time”.

RULE 02

Numbers before adjectives. If a claim needs an adjective to survive, it needs a figure instead.

RULE 03

“Verified” only where a check ran. Otherwise: recorded, or not recorded.

RULE 04

Name what is absent, never who is at fault. A missing proof is a fact about the record.

07 · Why it converts

Route 01 sells to the person who signs and the person who reconciles.

THE OWNER / MD

“I can trust the number without asking for it.”

What route 01 gives him is the one thing no dashboard can fake: a figure he can open. The identity spends its whole budget on looking checkable, which is exactly what he fears losing.

THE ACCOUNTANT

“Every rupee has an attachment.”

Travel claims carry the odometer photograph and the location trail, printed in the same mono figures he reconciles by hand. Route 01 is the only route written in his language.

THE MANAGER

“I can see the day while it is happening.”

The exceptions queue is the argument, not the total. Three verdicts, no grey, and a screen that opens on what went wrong rather than on what went fine.

WHAT THIS ROUTE COSTS

  • Every rep screen has to be re-cut in the serif, not merely recoloured. The identity is in the type, and half-rebranding here reads as a mistake.
  • The mark must be redrawn as vector and the 247 KB export retired, or the one rule the route depends on is already broken.
  • The report generators need real design time, because they are the highest-trust surface in the product and the least designed today.

WHERE IT FAILS

  • It reads cold at 7 am. A rep who feels audited adopts nothing, and an unadopted system proves nothing at all.
  • It is a document, not a companion. Route 01 needs route 02's warmth in the rep screens to survive contact with a real field day.
  • The honest verdicts cut both ways. Shipping “missing” and “flagged” as first-class states means the client's own numbers will sometimes look worse than the story they tell today.
